Special girl Blinkie is ready to fly the nest and find her forever family after a difficult start in life. Blinkie was born with one of her eyes open, this resulted in some damage to it and so she was surrendered from her breeder. She then went on to develop a dermoid cyst along the eye line which was removed by our vet. A further operation a short time later tidied up the eyelid and this is now fully healed although is quite scarred. This has been recently checked and is totally settled and stable. it does mean she has very limited vision in one side but this does not affect her at all. Blinkie is fun and friendly and adores human fuss. She loves snacks and is very people orientated. She gives the cutest toothy smiles for her humans and loves to go on a walk. Blinkie is spayed, up to date with vaccinations and flea and worm treatment.
We are currently very busy and rescue spaces are extremely limited – PLEASE DO NOT APPLY IF YOU HAVE HOLIDAYS BOOKED OR ARE NOT IN A POSITION TO FINALISE THE ADOPTION IN GOOD TIME – we have a huge waiting list which we are constantly juggling as we hate turning away dogs in need. Please tell us about and breed experience on your application form. Whilst a loving home is SO important for a rescue dog, they will also need structure, routine, boundaries and long term commitment.
THE DOG YOU MEET AND TAKE HOME MAY NOT BE THE DOG YOU HAVE IN 6 MONTHS TIME – THEY CAN BE NERVOUS AND SHUT DOWN, TAKING TIME TO GAIN CONFIDENCE AND SHOW THEIR TRUE PERSONALITIES – THEY MAY PUSH BOUNDARIES AND BECOME HARD WORK BEFORE SETTLING FULLY. PLEASE DO NOT APPLY IF YOU AREN’T COMPLETELY COMMITTED TO ADOPTING AND DOING EVERYTHING TO MAKE THE PROCESS WORK.
