Sometimes life throws you a curveball ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ€๐Ÿพ Sometimes life throws you a curveball ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ€๐Ÿพ First of all, apologies to everyone who is waiting on a reply to an enquiry, or to anyone on the waiting list you has had to be pushed back. If you werenโ€™t aware, we are a home rescue and all the dogs live with me. Sadly I suffered a dog bite last week which has seriously impacted my ability to keep in top of everything here - today Iโ€™ve had surgery with the amazing Plastic Surgery Unit at Whiston Hospital and hopefully on the road to full recovery. A million thank yous to all the staff at Whiston who have been wonderful. Also a massive thanks to everyone who had rallied round to help me and offer moral support, Iโ€™m so grateful to you all ๐Ÿ’• from dog walking, to school pick ups, to hospital drop offs and blow drying my hair. All hail King David of Little Legs ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ‘‘ David and his friends have had a lovely time this afternoon at our event with @jollyessouthport @barklays.dog @jollyesuk @southportmarket @pinkdogtog Thank you to everyone who came, donated and joined us on our walk. We loved seeing some of our adopted babies and their humans ๐Ÿ‘‘
*** Jack update *** Jack has seen the vet first t *** Jack update *** Jack has seen the vet first thing and was a very good boy! Heโ€™s got a skin infection from the fleas and matting, so has a course of steroids and antibiotics. Iโ€™ve flea treated him again after finding more live fleas on him ๐ŸคขThe matting was so bad around his bum that his testicles are black from strangulation ๐Ÿ’” Jack canโ€™t be vaccinated yet until his skin has cleared up and settled down. Then he will also need castrating and a dental as he has a lot of plaque on his back teeth and also has some receding gums. On a plus, he walks beautifully on a lead, hasnโ€™t stopped wagging his tail and we estimate him to be about 5 years old. So hopefully Jack will still have many happy years ahead of him ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿถ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿผ thank you again to everyone who has donated, we couldnโ€™t keep going without you all ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ™‹๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ

Look at Jack now! ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿพ Free from mats and Look at Jack now! ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿพ Free from mats and fleas, scrubbed nice and clean, his teeth have been given a quick once over and heโ€™s had his nails trimmed and now heโ€™s sporting a lovely new collar and lead. You wouldnโ€™t recognise him from the dog we collected a few hours ago. So thankful to Jess @northambears who has donated her time tonight for free to groom not only Harry but Jack as an emergency, this means all our donations tonight will cover his vets bills and castration so he can find his forever home. Jess didnโ€™t get home until gone 9pm after we spent two hours catching and killing the biggest fleas youโ€™ve ever seen. Safe now Jack, tucked up in a clean bed with a tasty pig ear chew from @casapawsouthport and tomorrow will be off to see the vet ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿถ

Little Legs Brenda celebrated her birthday this we Little Legs Brenda celebrated her birthday this weekend with her new family ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿฅฐ๐Ÿถ the fur on her ears is growing back, sheโ€™s gaining weight and learning to coexist with her new dog and human family. It can be a steep learning curve for ex breeding dogs but they make the most loving companions and deserve the world ๐Ÿฅฐ๐ŸŒŽ๐Ÿ’•
