Who are Little Legs?

We are a small not for profit charitable organisation made of three trustees who are all dog owners, with a diverse range of skills in achieving the goals of Little Legs.

Margaret Mather ‘The Sensible One
Senior consultant with a vast, long and varied experience in caring for dogs. Margaret has owned over thirty dogs in her lifetime, the majority being rescued and rehomed dogs.

Christina Mather-Bateman ‘Chief Dog Walker’
Founder, daily management, social media and co-ordinator for Little Legs. Christina has a lot of experience dealing with varied situations with members of the public and over thirty years experience caring for dogs of all variety. Christina has previously volunteered at a local rescue, and has fostered ex street dogs from abroad.

Little Legs exists primarily to re-home ex breeding dogs to their well deserved happy retirement home. We health check, neuter/spay and vaccinate the dogs, whilst acclimatising them to a friendly home environment, socialising with family, children, dogs and cats then training towards walking on a lead and toilet training. We home check prospective new homes and fit the right dog to the right home, we believe it is the least they deserve.

Invariably, some dogs may not be ex-breeding dogs as we will make every effort to assist in any re-homing emergencies.

We do ask a donation for each adoption fee and this will be posted on the individual dog the profile.
