Cece is a very sweet chocolate dapple Dachshund girl who was previously used for breeding and lived in kennels. Cece is very well adjusted and settled into foster life very quickly and loves her home comforts and a fuss. You will always find Cece curled up with a doggy friend and it is essential she has canine companion her new home as this is what she is familiar with and takes comfort from. Cece is now playing with toys (she loves a squeaky ball) and is turning into a real little lap dog. She greets everyone with a waggy tail and sometimes even an excited tiny howl if she really likes you.

Whilst in our care Cece has had a fully dental and been spayed and she is fully recovered from both. Cece is also fully vaccinated and flea and worm treated, she is microchipped and ready to find his new family. When she was taken in to be spayed, the vet discovered she was suffering from Pyometra – an infection of the uterus in un spayed female dogs – luckily this was caught in time and the spay surgery potentially saved her life. Cece is very lucky indeed. This will not reoccur and there are no lasting affects.

Cece does have potential to be a little clingy with her new humans, we have not indulged her in foster as we want her to know she can settle on her own and does not need to velcro herself to her foster Mum all the time. She is happy to sleep in a crate and will even pee outside in the rain with a little encouragement.

We are currently very busy and rescue spaces are extremely limited – PLEASE DO NOT APPLY IF YOU HAVE HOLIDAYS BOOKED OR ARE NOT IN A POSITION TO FINALISE THE ADOPTION IN GOOD TIME – we have a huge waiting list which we are constantly juggling as we hate turning away dogs in need. Please tell us about and breed experience on your application form. Whilst a loving home is SO important for a rescue dog, they will also need structure, routine, boundaries and long term commitment.
