Sir Bobby Charlton the Sprollie
Bobby is a five month old Springer Spaniel x Collie who was an emergency admission to Little Legs via the police. He had been bought by a family with very young children and they under estimated his energy levels and rang the police to report he was jumping up and mouthing at them. Bob was then sadly likely to be put to sleep for no fault of his own other than he’s a bundle of energy from two working parents.
Bob has been a full of fun in foster, he loves to chase a ball and play with the other dogs but it is evident he has not been walked or socialised appropriately as he doesn’t know how to politely interact with dogs or humans. He is legs everywhere, will jump up for a fuss and sometimes try and mouth your hands for attention. We have not seen any aggression in Bob, just a high energy, needy puppy who is desperate for human fuss and love. We have started his crate training and he is doing well and settles quickly. He does need to gain some weight as very slim to the point of almost starvation from his previous home.
Bob needs an active home and someone who has knowledge of working breeds, he is a dog who will thrive with a job to do, training and adventures. Our good friend Becca at Collar and Co in Southport has kindly offered her time to get Bob started his new training routine with any local adopters. Bob has been bathed and was a little star, he was excellent with the vet and has a lot of potential in the right home. On arrival he was heavily urine stained but this is lifting after a good scrub in the bath.
We are currently very busy and rescue spaces are extremely limited – PLEASE DO NOT APPLY IF YOU HAVE HOLIDAYS BOOKED OR ARE NOT IN A POSITION TO FINALISE THE ADOPTION IN GOOD TIME – we have a huge waiting list which we are constantly juggling as we hate turning away dogs in need. Please tell us about and breed experience on your application form.
