Lesley the French Bulldog
Lesley is a timid two year old Frenchie girl who has recently had puppies and then surrendered by her family. She is cautious of the world at the minute but has lots of potential and is looking for her forever human to give her the security and stability she craves. Lesley is fawn in colour and does need to gain some weight as is very slim after giving birth. She has seen the vet in our care as she was showing some slight lameness in her hind left leg, this has been thoroughly checked and is a low grade luxating patella which is very common in small dogs. No intervention is needed for this and she would benefit from gaining some muscle mass and gentle exercise to increase her strength. Lesley can be a bit anxious when she is handled due to this, so an adult only home with a calm and patient person who can take the time to let Lesley come out of her shell is needed. Lesley is already bonding to her foster Mum and can be found sat at her feet looking up for some fuss, she will make the most loving and loyal companion. French Bulldog experience would be advantageous. We will provide support with Lesley’s adoption with local Dog Psychologist Rachel Monteith and this is included in her adoption – the initial cost covered by us.
Lesley has been spayed and recovering well, we have restarted her vaccinations as she came with no history of them, she has been microchipped and is up to date with flea and worm treatment.
We are currently very busy and rescue spaces are extremely limited – PLEASE DO NOT APPLY IF YOU HAVE HOLIDAYS BOOKED OR ARE NOT IN A POSITION TO FINALISE THE ADOPTION IN GOOD TIME – we have a huge waiting list which we are constantly juggling as we hate turning away dogs in need.
