Lottie and Lola the Miniature Dapple Dachshunds

Lottie and Lola the Miniature Dapple Dachshunds

Lottie and Lola are a pair of 12 month old Miniature Dachshund girls who have come from a breeder. They were due to be kept as part of their breeding programme, but they are now scaling down and so surrendered them to us to find them a lovely home. Lottie (chocolate dapple) and Lola (silver dapple) have come together but are not bonded – they would like to live with other small dogs and ideally dachshunds.

Please let us know which girl you are applying for on your form – they do not need to be adopted together.

Lottie and Lola are both petite and quiet girls, they have previously lived in kennels but now in foster in a home and slowly coming out of their shell. They will need help learning about lead walking and can be a little anxious in the car as this is all new to them, but they are very sweet and gentle and like most Dachshunds, will soon find their feet (and their voices). As they have not been brought up around children and are very submissive, they would like a quieter home to build their confidence.

Dachshunds benefit from delayed neutering – these girls are not spayed but it is a condition of their adoption that they will be done by your own vet, around their seasons, and over two years of age. They are absolutely not to be used for breeding and cannot live with un neutered male dogs as it can be difficult to keep them apart when a girl is in season. We do not condone any ‘accidental litters’. They are fully vaccinated, flea and wormed. Please only apply if you are prepared to put in the time and effort to bring these girls on and for them to blossom.

We are currently very busy and rescue spaces are extremely limited – PLEASE DO NOT APPLY IF YOU HAVE HOLIDAYS BOOKED OR ARE NOT IN A POSITION TO FINALISE THE ADOPTION IN GOOD TIME – we have a huge waiting list which we are constantly juggling as we hate turning away dogs in need. Please tell us about and breed experience on your application form.
